Steven J Greco

Founder & Chief Operating Officer

Steven J. Greco, PhD, is a leading expert in regenerative medicine and serves as the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of PranaX Corporation, a biomedical research company based in Houston, TX. With a strong academic foundation in Biological Sciences from Cornell University and a PhD in Stem Cell Biology from Rutgers University, Greco has dedicated his career to advancing regenerative therapies. He focuses on utilizing exosome biology to repair and regenerate damaged tissues and organs, offering new hope for those affected by aging and age-related diseases.

Greco’s career trajectory in regenerative medicine began with his experience working with several biotech companies, where he gained extensive knowledge in drug development and stem cell research. His early involvement as Chief Scientific Officer at Houston Healthspan Innovation Group and his co-founding of Rejenevie Therapeutics laid the foundation for his later success with PranaX, the company he founded in 2022. At PranaX, Greco leverages his expertise in stem cell biology to develop innovative diagnostics, therapies, and biomarkers for age-related health challenges, including Alzheimer’s disease and other degenerative conditions.

Steven J. Greco has been committed to advancing regenerative and translational medicine for over two decades. His work in stem cell biology has greatly contributed to developing new treatments for age-related conditions, helping improve the quality of life for aging populations. Alongside his research, Greco has made it a priority to educate the public and professionals on the applications of stem cells in regenerative medicine. As the founder of the Stem Cell Education Society, he has helped raise awareness and provided invaluable information to students, scientists, and healthcare professionals about the transformative potential of stem cell therapies.

Greco’s academic journey began at Cornell University, where he earned a degree in Biological Sciences, with a concentration in Animal Physiology. This educational foundation equipped him with a deep understanding of human biology and physiology. After completing his undergraduate studies, Greco pursued a Master's in Biomedical Sciences at Rutgers University, where he developed an increasing interest in how stem cell biology could be applied to treat aging and other health conditions.

In 2007, Steven earned his PhD in Stem Cell Biology from Rutgers Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. While there, he worked as a Research Associate and Administrative Liaison in the Rameshwar Lab, contributing to groundbreaking research in stem cell biology, particularly in studying mesenchymal stem cells. His research in bone marrow and its relation to breast cancer opened new avenues for understanding how stem cells can be used in cancer therapies. Greco’s work in preclinical development of cell restoration technologies helped set the stage for his future contributions to regenerative medicine.

After completing his PhD, Greco’s career expanded with a position at Neurotez Inc. as Vice President of Research and Development, where he focused on Alzheimer’s disease drug discovery. He then moved on to the Cell Health Institute in Newark, NJ, where he developed technologies to restore aging blood stem cell function. This role allowed him to continue his work with stem cells, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the regenerative medicine field.

In addition to his work at PranaX, Greco co-founded Rejenevie Therapeutics, serving as Director of Research and later as Chief Scientific Officer. While at Rejenevie, Greco led research to rejuvenate the aging immune system. He also played an integral role in Houston Healthspan Innovation Group, a company focused on stem cell therapies and regenerative treatments for age-related diseases. The work at Houston Healthspan led to the development of new scientific platforms for regenerative medicine, setting the stage for PranaX's success.

Since founding PranaX in 2023, Steven has raised $20 million to support the company’s research and development efforts. PranaX is focused on utilizing stem cells and exosome therapies to regenerate aging and damaged tissues, aiming to extend life expectancy and improve the lives of those suffering from degenerative diseases. The company’s work is helping redefine how medical professionals approach age-related health challenges, offering innovative solutions that can potentially improve millions of lives.

Greco is a prolific inventor, holding numerous patents on stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. He has also published several influential papers on Alzheimer’s disease, aging, and stem cell therapies. His scientific contributions have earned him recognition from the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology, where he has received multiple awards for his work in the field.

Steven J. Greco’s continued work at PranaX and his unwavering commitment to regenerative medicine are shaping the future of healthcare. His contributions to stem cell research and regenerative therapies promise to revolutionize how we treat aging and age-related diseases, offering new hope for healthier and longer lives. Through his leadership and innovative research, Greco is transforming the landscape of regenerative medicine, making lasting impacts in the field and providing cutting-edge solutions for aging populations worldwide.
